A quick update on "Peanut" the Royal Blue Elephant Ty Beanie that I had listed on Ebay. He sold for $33.00. Not to mention that I offered FREE shipping on him. My profit = $27.00. I cannot complain since we gave pennies for him, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Goes to show ya that the media can sure cause hype for a few days before they are onto something else. Anyway, it was fun!

"Peanut" the Royal Blue Elephant Ty Beanie Babies Slam Ebay
Just wanted to comment on my latest post regarding "Peanut" the Royal Blue Elephant. After AOL News came out with their article "10 Toys you Should've Kept" news traveled quickly! By evening, these "not so collectible, the day before" elephants were all over Ebay. The first one that sold after this article came out, sold for over $200.00. As the days pass, the prices on these elephants are declining quickly! I have seen them end for around $30.00. And, of course, I listed mine for 7 days so it is hard telling what mine will end for? Hopefully, $20.00? According to the article, these should be worth $2000.00 to the right collectors. We will see.

10 Childhood Toys you should have kept
I know this is off topic for my blog, but I had to post an experience I had this morning. On the front board of AOL, there was an article titled; 10 CHILDHOOD TOYS YOU SHOULD'VE KEPT. One of these was a 1995 Ty Teenie Beanie Baby from McDonald's called Peanut the Royal Blue Elephant. Apparently, these could be worth $2000.00 Well, we do a lot of auctions and flea markets like I have mentioned earlier on in my posts. My husband proceeded to go out to our storage shed and found one!! How exciting!! Needless to say, I put Peanut on Ebay, so we will see how it goes!
